Today it is all about bags and purses !
First project – How I discovered flexi frames
I found these fun openings at the 100yen shop that are called flexi frames (according to my friend google) and I bought a pack of 2 out of curiousity. I made one purse without following any instructions and I think it’s cute but far from perfect.
The second one I made with the help of this tutorial (which is really well written and illustrated), and it turned out even better than I thought it would /o/ wouhou /o/.
Second project – Guys have the right to be organized too
We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday last month so I made him a little bag with his favorite color, green. I had a really hard time picking the fabric because the little store I went to was so nice and everything looked so wonderful ! The lady there congratulated my accent in Japanese and it simply made my day (maybe she was just trying to be polite, but I’ll just forget about this possibility). I used the same instructions that came with a kit to make a Japanese string bag (the one with the owl-y fabric; isn’t it the best owl pattern ever ?) and made it bigger.
Third project – A coin purse or “poche à pièces”
I needed one actually, no kidding. Since it’s something I use frequently I dared using one of my favorite Japanese fabric strap : ). The tutorial is here and it is very well explained. It was my first attempt to sew a zipper it was easier to use it than I thought. From now on I won’t be scared of zippers anymore !
Thank you for reading, have a good day !
And as usual a big thank you to the ladies who shared their tutorials : the authors of Me a Mom and I heart linen !

Très joli boulot Fny. You’re the best !
