Because of the typhoon that is still going through Japan as I write, classes were cancelled at my university this afternoon. As a result, I decided to spend some (more than intended actually) time on finishing my last project. I didn’t have the right fabric for the lining, but with all this rain and wind I didn’t want to go too far to get it. I rode my bicycle to Nitori (Japanese equivalent of Ikea) close to my apartment and searched for “things on sale that I could cut”. Lucky me, a sort of light beige bed sheet was waiting for me in the middle of the returned/spoiled miscellaneous objects’ box for 400 yens !
Once done with the sewing work I proudly moved my socks from this kitchen plastic bag I used to organize my suitcase 9 MONTHS AGO… :
To this fresh drawstring bag made with love on rainy days :
A big thank you to Mairuru again for her great tutorial !
Now my underwear are jealously calling for a bag update too ^^;
